Beijing and Hong Kong Students Exchange Tour 2011

Sharing from     S.6D Lai Tung

I was glad to have joined this exchange programme to Beijing. The trip to Beijing was fantastic and unforgettable because it offered me a chance to reach my goals- visit the attractions in Beijing and meet new friends.

Among the attractions I have visited, the Great Wall and the National Stadium were my favourite. "Brave Chinese must visit the Great Wall", according to Chairman Mao and I have become a “Brave Chinese” already.

Also, there are numerous stairs at the Great Wall. I needed to climb winding stairs to the tower with my teammates. It wore my energy out but I found fulfillment when I arrived at the top of the tower, and the view at the Great Wall was brilliant, it was surely worth visiting.

What’s more, the National Stadium was really enormous and the outlook of the stadium at night was extraordinary. Standing outside the National Stadium, I felt proud to be a Chinese.

Nevertheless, I met a lot of new friends from different schools and regions as this exchange programme was promoted to all senior form students and university students in Hong Kong. I was grateful to have been selected to represent WSCSS to join the trip. The trip not only offered me an opportunity to broaden my horizon, but also a chance to enhance my communication and language skills.
