National Education Exchange Programme

In order to cultivate students' sense of belonging to our motherland, 18 S. 6 students of our school participated in the "Passing on the Torch: Exploring and Embracing Chinese Culture" National Education Exchange Programme organized by the Education Bureau. The theme of this year event is "Tracing Our Origin in Ancient Cities". Our students were given the opportunity to explore the historic cities of Beijing and Shanghai. Although the exchange programme lasted only for five days, it broadened our students' knowledge on cultural heritage, town planning, culture and cuisine of the ancient cities of Beijing and Shanghai. Moreover, they were the first batch of students ever visiting the construction site of the World Exposition in Shanghai 2010. They even had the honor to converse with Ms. Liu Yandong at the Great Hall of the People. The exchange programme ended successfully and our students will conduct two respective reports on "Town planning and environment protection in Shanghai" and "Conservation of culture and its relationship with Hong Kong".
