In the past, some talented students of our school were nominated by their teachers to join a summer program organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The instructors of the program are experienced teachers in gifted education and experts in different professions. The course aims to provide diverse, stimulating and highly challenging out-of-school learning opportunities for the gifted youths during the summer holidays.

I have joined a course "Your unique DNA" in the Summer Program for the Gifted and Talented 2010. I have learnt a lot from it.
On the first day, the teacher divided the students into four groups. We have done experiments and learnt how to grow colonies of E.Coli in the LB agar and counted the number of E. Coli. On the second day, we started to make our DNA ID cards. We followed the instruction of the teacher to collect the cells in our mouths. When I finally succeeded in making the card, I was very happy because it was a very special and exciting experience. After the course, I learned more about DNA and was more interested in Science. I hope I can join more similar courses in the future.

In the class of "Your unique DNA", I have learnt more knowledge about DNA. With good facilities in the science laboratory and good teacher (and tutors), the class was very interesting and exciting. At the beginning, the teacher taught us simple facts about DNA. Through the course, we have learned how to write a report, just like a university student!
S4E Shing Ming Tony (Nominating Teacher: Mr. Man Wai Kit)
After joining the course "The World of Probability and Infinity", I learned the skills of calculating probability in different cases, and understood the relationship between numbers and infinity.
What the course impressed me most was the teaching method adopted by our teacher. He used a probability topic, "Gambling", that is highly related to our daily life as an introduction. It brought us much fun and excitement. We were very attentive in the lessons, especially when we were taught how to be "sure win".
Besides probability, another topic in the course was "Infinity". At first, I thought it was extremely complicated, but later on I changed my perception. Our teacher had made it so simple and easy to understand that in the end of the course the word "Infinity" did not look scary anymore!

這次參加中大舉辦的資優課程「口語溝通表達技巧工作坊」，令我學會如何更好地運用口語，例如朗誦時聲音的高低輕重，抑揚頓挫，和說故事時如何利用聲音把故事生動地在別人面前重現。而且我更學會了一些演講技巧，如演講前的準備工夫，與及由寫稿到上台前定神的小動作等等，都令我獲益良多。
今年暑假，本校四位資優學生，獲選參與由香港中文大學舉辦的「2010暑期資優課程」。課程由富經驗的資優教育工作者和不同學術領域的專家主持，旨在於暑假期間為資優生提供富挑戰性的校外學習機會。以下是四位同學的分享：
