Students can choose 2 or 3 electives. For the latter, they have to attend classes on Saturday mornings.

*Note 1:Students taking Visual Arts are required to attend the instruction classes after school or on Saturdays.
Other Language
Japanese is offered as the third language. Japanese classes are held after school and on Saturdays. Japanese classes are also organized in junior forms as an interest group as the preparation for their studies in senior forms.

Students in Secondary 5 and 6 are nominated to take Applied Learning courses organized by service providers according to their interests.
Curriculum & Assessment Guide
 
Preparation in Junior Forms
  • Small-class teaching is practiced in S1, with class size ranges from 25 to 32. Small class teaching is also offered to S2 and S3 students of bottom 40% in the two subjects, Chinese and English. After-school remedial/enrichment classes are offered by Mathematics Department to cater for students’ learning diversity.
  • Implementation of Extensive Reading Scheme in Chinese and English to develop students' language proficiency and nurture reading habits.
  • Introduction of elements of NSS Chinese curriculum to Junior Form students, including news, novels and script writing, application of Creative Media in composition and studies on Chinese culture.
  • Collaboration with CUHK on action research “Implementing Innovative Feedback Approach in Secondary EFL Writing”, to improve students’ writing skill.
  • Introduction of Integrated Humanities in junior forms, accompanied by implementation of Other Learning Experiences, has equipped junior form students with the basic knowledge for NSS.
  • Implementation of Cross-curricular Project Learning in junior forms to help students develop generic skills and cultivate habit of independent learning.
