5E Chan Hiu Wai

I joined a business summer camp which organized by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology during the summer holiday. Although I was not interested at first, now I am glad that Miss Cheung encouraged me to attend it. During the camp, I have learned a lot of things and have a lot of fun. I have learned a lot of business knowledge from the seminars and workshops. Also, I experienced the college life at HKUST. The campus is really large and comfortable. The most important thing is that I made a lot of new friends from different secondary schools.

CUHK Business Summer Camp 2015

6B Tse Ka Yiu

In this 4-day residential program, I have a chance to explore the knowledge in the business world and experience the fun of university life in CUHK. The camp provides a wide spectrum of programs such as lectures, soft skills enhancement workshops, team building activities and business competition. I have learnt about some hot topics in business through the lectures which help to develop my business senses, for example financial, management. In the last day, there is a business case competition which is a valuable learning process to put all my business knowledge into practice. I can apply what I have learnt in the lectures and my school. Moreover, I think the most useful program is the interview workshop. The workshop is useful for preparing the forthcoming admission interview since valuable feedback will be provided by the experienced professors in CUHK. All in all, this camp is very useful and makes me derive much benefit from it. I am glad to have a chance to join it.

HKUST Business Summer Camp 2015

6B Elvin Ko

It is a great privilege for me that I have been selected to join the HKUST Business Summer Camp during 16-19 July 2015. Since I had never been to HKUST before, this summer camp has provided me a fresh and amused impression of this university. Among those days, I did enjoy the time when I was participating in every single program. My group is extremely fabulous. Although we were not the final winner of the "Social Enterprise Challenge", the ideas given out by everyone during project meetings were definitely practical and innovative. If I must choose a program which I like the most, it will be the "Social Enterprise Workshop" given out by Mr Cheney Cheng, who is the co-founder of a non-profit organization "Teach4HK". He taught us about the importance and the responsibility of a social enterprise in a community. It touches me a lot. Nowadays in Hong Kong, even the whole world, people measure anything based on monetary reasons. Not many of us will care about some special groups such as the disabled, the aged and the poor. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to learn. Mr Cheng reminded me to spend more time on the society. To summarize, this summer camp is marvelous. Not only met new friends during games and activities, but also harvested much from talks and workshops given out by different professors and guests. I strongly recommend this camp to any form four or form five students that are interested in business and ventures.

6B To Man Long

Thanks to the school's sponsor, I joined the UST's Business Summer Camp during the summer vacation. The four days live-in program did gave me lots of joy. However, what the program gave me was far beyond joyful.

Learning to be confident probably was the greatest gift the program gave me. Through the group project, I became more confident by joining discussion or even leading the group. I know that sometimes we may doubt our ability and thus are reluctant to give something a try or even step out of our comfort zone. So did I. Once I stepped forward and challenged myself just like I was one of the presenters of my group and I did it with very limited time, I realized that people don't judge my ability, they just care whether I am willing to stand out or not. The invaluable experience taught me not to be shy but to be confident of ourselves.

Apart from confidence, my horizons was also widened. Exploration is playing an important part in our learning and that's what the program offered me. I had the chance to interact with professors from different countries and learnt from a distinctive way of thinking. Even though a chat with other participants, I could learn from their strengths like strong communication skills, language abilities, learning attitude. The most important thing is to perceive our weaknesses and learn from others modestly. Otherwise, we are just like the frog in the well.

Once again, I am so grateful towards school's support so that I can have such priceless chance. Besides, I do recommend my schoolmates to jump out of the campus and set foot in their challenge zone.
