3D printing class

Students design a cookie cutter by 3-D modelling software and the final product is made by 3-D Printing Machine.

Water Filter System Design Competition

The Competition was organized by the Chung Sing Benevolent Society Mrs Aw Boon Haw Secondary School and Rotary Club of City Northwest of Hong Kong. The Competition aims at introducing fundamental concepts of building a practical and low cost water filter system. A team of four members, they are MA CHEUK YIN馬卓賢, LEUNG CHING YU梁正榆¸ YIM FU CHONG嚴富莊, got the prize for 1st Runner up

Robotic Education – Dongguan Visit

Students are nominated to participate in a visit to Dongguan organized by Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council, Tai Po District Office, Asian Robotics League and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parts Corporation to acquire a hands-on experience in the recent development of robotic education.

Merry Go Round Music Box Making Class

Students assemble the parts and test the final product in DT workshop.

Glider Contest

Glider Contest was organized by DT Club. Students were asked to design, make and test flight their own balsa wood model glider. S1E (2013-14) 陳學俊CHAN HOK CHUN Got the prize of Best Design. S3E(2013-14) 麥兆匡MAK SIU HONG Got the prize of The Farthest Glider Flight.

Wong Shiu Chi Campus Model

S6E (2012-13) SHING MING TONY成銘 complete a Wong Shiu Chi Campus model. Main dimensions of campus are measured accurately and input to a 3-D CAD Drafting software. It is tested and simulated before the parts are cut and assembled.

Aircraft Carrier

S6E (2012-13) LAM YU YEUNG林宇陽 design and make an aircraft carrier. It is a flat-pack design. All parts are cut from a piece of clear plastic sheet.

Glider Flight Test

Students design test flight their own Glider. They enjoy the process to solve the problem and learn basic knowledge to design a gilder.

Puzzle Key Label Design and Making Class

It was organized by DT Club. There were 20 students participated in this activity. The participants were required to design their own key Label and it was cut by a laser cutting machine. The whole activity was prepared by the DT Club committee members also.

S1 Party Mask Project

Students can learn the basic principles of ergonomics in this project. They measure and get main dimensions of the party mask from their face. Then they use the data to design their own party mask. The final product is cut by the laser cutter and decorated by students.


 

S2 Pencil Holder

The first idea is presented by a card model. The model is tested by 3-D modeling software and commented by their classmates. Students should finish the final artifact in DT workshop.


 

S3 3-D Puzzle

It's a quite challenging project. Students are asked to draft out the parts of a 3-D puzzle on paper. The outlines of the parts are drafted by 2-D computer software. The parts are cut out by a Laser Cutting Machine. Students assemble the parts and make adjustments so that the parts can be fitted to other parts perfectly.
