Learning Strategies and Curriculum
Aims
- To foster students' interest in cooking and sewing.
- To refine students' essential life skills so as to achieve independence.
- To promote a healthy life style.
- To cultivate students' aesthetics and creativity, and help students develop their potential.
- To promote value education for students through formal and informal curriculum. Enable students to be responsible citizens willing to contribute to the well-being of individuals, families and society.
Learning Strategies
- A variety of learning tasks are adopted to cater for student differences, such as demonstration, discussion, case studies and projects.
- Students will learn a wide range of theory. And they will consolidate or enhance their understanding and their ability to put theory into practice.
- Students construct knowledge through cross-curricular learning.
- Students' lifelong learning attitudes are actively cultivated through the project work which enhance their generic skills.
- Students are encouraged to reflect on their learning experiences so that they can develop their own learning styles and preferences.
