Through the "Joyful Thousand-Mile Reading Cruise" 2025 Summer Pilot Reading Award Scheme, I was motivated to explore various types of books, including Chinese and English essays, novels, plays, and encyclopedias. Every time I finished a book, I felt a sense of accomplishment and gained new perspectives that stimulated my thinking. This initiative not only broadened my extracurricular knowledge and reading volume but also sustained my interest in reading. It allowed me to expand my horizons, experience different cultures, and deepen my understanding of the world. Moreover, through reading, I fully realized how books enhance writing and comprehension skills—such as absorbing vocabulary and grammar—enabling me to express myself more fluently in writing. Beyond the joy of receiving this award, I now truly appreciate the endless benefits of reading.

It is with great honor that I received the 'Joyful Thousand-Mile Reading Cruise' 2025 Summer Pilot Reading Award. As an avid reader simply pursuing my passion for books, this recognition came as a most welcome surprise. While the award criteria are accessible, the true challenge lies in sustaining one's reading motivation. I would recommend thematic book series as they provide both reading pleasure and systematic progress. This accolade not only affirms my reading habits but also inspires me to continue exploring the world of literature.

This school year, we were exceptionally honoured to have become one of the champion teams in the Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition (HKSSDC) 2024-2025. Our team came up against formidable opponents in the six rounds against other secondary schools. I am deeply gratified to our talented debaters: 1D Kong Shing Chun Ewan, 5D Peony Ho, 4A Claudia So, 4A Kitty Li, and 5A Yoyo Tam—as well as our teacher in charge, Ms. Ng, and our devoted coach, Summi. It was their dedication and hard work that led us to our resounding victory, and culminated in these triumphant achievements.
Frankly, the journey towards our success was quite arduous. We dedicated ourselves to both after-school training and online meetings, persistently refining our capabilities. My teammates didn't work alone but functioned as a cohesive team, supporting one another and sharing insights whenever challenges arose. Throughout this process, we have learnt the immense value of teamwork, where collaborating closely with others taught me how diverse perspectives can lead to stronger solutions. This notable accomplishment would not have been possible if it weren't for my teammates' commitment.
Considering that this is my 2nd year in the English Debate team, I am immensely grateful to have encountered such talented and skillful teammates by my side, and I'm proud of how much I have grown throughout this debating journey. Once again, I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to Ms Ng, Summi and my outstanding teammates throughout this competition, and I will forever cherish the opportunity that was given to me.

The program aimed to deepen the spirit of tea culture, integrate life education, and expand community practice platforms, cultivating students as "Tea Culture Ambassadors" to enter communities and promote tea culture. Five of our students were honored as Tea Culture Ambassadors.
The event was officiated by distinguished guests, including Deputy Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Mr. Lau Chun, Chairman of the External Affairs Committee of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries Mr. Chan Pak-chi, Dr. Chan Suet-yee, Member of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Chair of the Arts Education Panel, Professor Cheung Yam, President of the Hong Kong UNESCO Association, and Mr. Lam Kwok-hing, Chairman of the Shun Tak Foundation. Several Legislative Council members also attended to show their support, highlighting the importance placed by all sectors of society on traditional cultural education.
2A HUANG CHING YING SUSAN
I am truly honored to have been chosen as a Tea Culture Ambassador, and I sincerely thank my teacher for their trust and encouragement, as well as all my fellow classmates for their companionship. Participating in the tea arts class has not only taught me valuable skills, but also allowed me to appreciate the etiquette and spirit of the tea ceremony. In the future, I will use tea as a bridge—while carrying on this precious tradition, I will also strive to help more people discover and appreciate the unique charm of tea culture.
3B YING FEI FAN
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I stand before you, humbled by the kind recognition of the judges and the generous support of the organizers. This moment, though singular in its joy, is not the product of my efforts alone. It has been shaped, in no small part, by the wisdom of my teachers and the quiet encouragement of friends who, at times, seemed to believe in me more than I believed in myself.
I entered the tea art class with little more than curiosity and, perhaps, a modest sense of duty. What I found, however, was far greater than the mere mechanics of brewing tea. I discovered the quiet dignity of "respect" and the enduring grace of "filial piety," ideals that, I now see, are woven into the very fabric of tea culture. The tea ceremony, in its simplicity, revealed profound truths: each cup of tea is not merely a beverage but a gesture—a humble offering to nature, to family, to the heritage that binds us to those who came before.
This honor, then, is not mine to keep; it belongs to all who find beauty in the unassuming ritual of tea. And so, I hope to carry forward this tradition—not with grand proclamations, but with quiet perseverance—so that more may come to know the fragrance of tea, not merely as a flavor but as a life enriched.
4C LEE CHEUK YIN
As a Tea Culture Ambassador, I feel deeply honored. Tea is not merely a beverage; it is a bridge that connects people with nature and carries forward cherished traditions. Through my efforts, I hope to promote the health benefits and cultural richness of tea, allowing more people to experience its charm and warmth.
4C LUO TSZ YUI
As a Tea Culture Ambassador, I pledge to share the essence of tea with a wider audience. Tea is a way of life, embodying wisdom and tranquility. Through communication and sharing, I hope everyone can experience the physical and spiritual joy, as well as the cultural enrichment, that tea brings.
Press release 1 Press release 24C YAU TSZ YAN
I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious recognition in tea culture. Tea is a crystallization of China's historical and cultural heritage, as well as a practice that nurtures self-cultivation. Moving forward, I will dedicate myself with even greater passion to the promotion of tea culture, allowing the fragrance of tea to reach broader horizons and enabling more people to understand and appreciate the essence and beauty of tea culture.

Our school was full of excitement on May 24th, as we proudly hosted the Inter-school Physics Challenge 2025. We were happy to welcome teams from 34 local secondary schools, who were all ready to show what they could do. The challenge had students work on tough Physics questions against the clock, showing off their smart thinking and science knowledge.
Following the preliminary rounds, we were honoured to have Dr. Man Yuen Wah, Senior Curriculum Officer (Physics and STEAM Education) from the Education Bureau (EDB), deliver an inspiring talk titled “The Discovery of God’s Particle.” Her presentation captivated the audience, sparking curiosity and encouraging students to pursue lifelong learning in science.
The competition was exciting, and five top schools made it to the final round. In the finals, they did a fantastic job, showing great problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of important physics ideas. More than just a contest, the event was a great chance for students to learn, share new ideas, and work together.
We hope this great experience has helped students appreciate Physics even more and encouraged them to enjoy working as a team and discovering new things. A big congratulations to all students for their amazing energy and hard work!
Let's keep celebrating curiosity and the fun of learning!

On May 24, 2025, our school held its first ever student-organised physics competition — the Wong Shiu Chi Physics Challenge(王肇枝物理大比拼). At the beginning of the school term, over ten Form 5 students taking Physics voluntarily joined the organizing committee. Under the guidance of Ms. Lam Wai-yee, we started planning the competition from scratch. Everything from naming the event, designing its format and rules, creating the logo, writing the questions, preparing certificates, to external promotion — including sending invitation letters to other schools — was handled by us, Ms. Lam and Mr. Chan Yuk-man provided timely guidance and support throughout the process.
To ensure better execution of the competition, we also invited Form 4 and Form 5 Physics students from our school to help test the event flow. Through this, I realised that organising a competition from the ground up is far more challenging than it appears. Although the planning began in October, the competition was only successfully held at the end of May. Along the way, we often had differing opinions, due to issues like mistakes in the questions, inconsistent formatting, or technical problems with electronic equipment. Thankfully, we were able to reach consensus in the end, because we all shared the same goal: to provide a meaningful opportunity for Physics students to test their knowledge of the curriculum.
Although some minor problems occurred on the day of the competition, we managed to resolve them with everyone’s effort. A total of 34 participating schools, 136 students, and over ten accompanying teachers all enjoyed the competition, as well as the talk we arranged — The Discovery of the God Particle.
I also realised that I was not perfect in handling certain issues. For instance, after formatting the questions, I forgot to send the updated version to the teacher, which caused difficulties for the student responsible for finalising the questions. Despite the ups and downs during the preparation, the competition ran smoothly. From this experience, I also learned how to communicate and collaborate with my peers — when to compromise, when to stand firm, and how to strive for the best. For example, reporting progress promptly to teachers and teammates, or staying calm in the face of unexpected situations. I believe the lessons learned from this competition will benefit me for a lifetime.
