◎ The 2-storey school building with 10 classrooms, a school hall and 5 special rooms (Phase 1 Block). 
◎ The school was divided into Chinese and Anglo-Chinese sections with 8 classes provided.

◎ Graduation of the first batch of Senior Middle 3 students in the Chinese Section who sat for the Hong Kong Chinese Schools Certificate Examination.

◎ The establishment of the Parent-Teacher Association. 
◎ The first extra-curricular club, Christian Fellowship, was established.

◎ The establishment of Madam Tang Choi Wai Ling Scholarship.

◎ The passing of Doctor Wong Tak Hing, the founder of the school.

◎ Completion of Tang Yuek Fan Sports Ground (Phase 4). 
◎ The Silver Jubilee celebration events.

◎ Change of school name from "WONG SHIU CHI MIDDLE SCHOOL" to "WONG SHIU CHI SECONDARY SCHOOL".
◎ The establishment of the Alumni Association. 
◎ Termination of the Chinese Section. All classes were transformed into Anglo-Chinese Section in six years.
◎ Publication of the school magazine "Exordium".

◎ English as the medium of instruction (EMI) in S. 1.

1988 |
◎ The 5-years- class extension projects began. An additional class was provided in each form.
◎ Completion of the new school hall and special rooms (Phase 5 Block). 
◎ The first batch of student helpers.

◎ Committee of the Students' Association was elected by all students on a one-person-one-vote basis for the first time.

1991 |
◎ The number of classes rose to 29.

◎ Celebration events for the 35th Anniversary.

◎ Air-conditioning installed in all classrooms, special rooms and the Hall with a self-raised fund amounting to HK$550,000.

◎ Participation in the Education Department's Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Scheme.

◎ Incorporation of Putonghua into the regular S.1 curriculum and year-by-year extension of the plan up to S.3.
◎ Installation of Internet network in all classrooms, special rooms and the library.

◎ Cross-curricular Project Learning in S.1, which was subsequently extended to S.3.
◎ Donation from Doctor Lee Sai-kui, son of former Principal Mr. Lee Kui-chee, HK$ 1 million, to the "Lee Kui Chee Library Trust" for the establishment of the new school library.

◎ Donation of HK$260,000 from the Evangelical Free Church of China Po Nga Church to the School Development Fund to cover the construction cost of the upcoming School Improvement Programme.

2004 |
◎ Completion of the seven-storey new school wing (Phase 6 Block) in December. Opening of the Computer-Assisted Design and Technology Workshop, which was made possible with the generous donation of HK$900,000 by the "The Kai Chong Tong Foundation".

2005 |
◎ Celebration events for the 45th Anniversary.
◎ Inauguration ceremony hosted by Professor Lap-chee Tsui, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong, for the new Administration and Teaching Building.

2006 |
◎ Encouraging students to commit themselves to the virtues of the School Motto through conducting the Life Building Scheme in S.1.

2008 |
◎ Commencement of the Flag-raising ceremony in the newly completed flag-raising platform in Tang Yuek Fan Sports Ground. 
◎ The establishment of the Incorporated Management Committee which comprised managers from School Sponsoring Body, the Principal, teachers, parents, alumni and independent managers.
